Director of Equity and Community Supports

About the RoleThe Director of Equity and Community Supports will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across the university. This will involve working closely with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies and initiatives
- Provide leadership and support to faculty, staff, and students on equity, diversity, and inclusion issues
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Provide training and education on equity, diversity, and inclusion to faculty, staff, and students
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion. They will also have significant experience in leading and advancing social/human/equity services and support, preferably in the higher education sector. The candidate will have excellent communication, advocacy, and rapport-building skills, as well as experience working with diverse stakeholders and communities.
