Job Title: Daycare Worker

We are seeking a qualified Daycare Worker to join our team at Octopus Academy Inc. dba Octopus Academy.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children. They will establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, assist children in developing appropriate habits, and recognize potential signs of learning or behavioral issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall well-being of children
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Assist children in developing appropriate eating, dressing, and toileting habits
  • Recognize potential signs of learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents or supervisors
  • Evaluate the interests and needs of children and engage in discussions with parents and staff members
Requirements:

A College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required. Experience is an asset.
