Octopus Academy Richmond Seeks Dedicated Childcare Workers

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Infants' Daycare Workers at Octopus Academy Richmond.

Job Summary

As an Infants' Daycare Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers, promoting their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead daily activities, including storytelling and reading sessions
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that cater to the unique needs of each child
  • Provide exceptional care, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the overall well-being of children
  • Assist and lead children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toileting
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators and assistants to provide a comprehensive care experience
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and communicate effectively to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Monitor and report any signs of learning or behavioral issues to parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Evaluate children's progress and challenges, engaging with parents and staff to address any concerns
Requirements
  • Experience in early childhood education is an asset
  • College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, E.C.E., and IT are necessary
