Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our transportation engineering team, you will be responsible for managing transportation engineering projects from conceptual design to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transportation engineering projects, including functional design, preliminary and detailed design, and contract administration.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including transportation, municipal, and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists, and technical support staff.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Participate in professional associations and committees to contribute to Dillon's corporate profile.
- Travel to other Dillon offices as required.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience, preferably with an emphasis on transportation projects within the consulting industry.
- Proven leadership and business development capabilities.
- Proven ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience and ability as a project manager in functional design, preliminary and detailed design, and contract administration of municipal transportation projects.
- Demonstrated abilities in the leadership of multidisciplinary projects and teams.
- Exceptional abilities in project management.
- In-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planning.
- Experience in the geometric design of highways, municipal roads, and intersections.
- Proven skills in public and agency consultation.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills.
