Job Title: Group Home Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 32-48 hours per week. As a Group Home Worker, you will provide support and care to individuals in a group home setting, promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with other support workers and professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Document resident progress and provide regular updates to supervisors and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Mandt System training, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Criminal record check and valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
