Job Summary
As a Security Supervisor at Securiguard, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for safeguarding our facilities, ensuring the protection of clients, visitors, and assets. This role is ideal for those seeking to advance their career in security and law enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise a team of security officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance and professionalism.
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as necessary to address security incidents effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and clinical services, to address security concerns and implement proactive measures.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, for various scenarios such as fire, active shooter, or natural disasters.
- Serve as a liaison between security personnel and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-year Security Supervisory experience preferably in government building, high profile sites, healthcare etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR certificate
- Police Foundations, Community Justice Services or Law Enforcement Diploma would be an asset.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
