Job Title: Field Mechanic, Heavy Equipment

We are seeking a skilled Field Mechanic, Heavy Equipment to join our team at Carol Lake Metal Works Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing issues using computerized testing equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance work on heavy equipment
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Welding experience required
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Physical demands of the job include handling heavy loads and working in cold/refrigerated environments
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, with occasional overtime required.
