Job Title: Field Mechanic, Heavy Equipment

We are seeking a skilled Field Mechanic, Heavy Equipment to join our team at Carol Lake Metal Works Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing issues using computerized testing equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including welding and testing
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Physical demands of the job include handling heavy loads and working in cold/refrigerated environments
  • Ability to work overtime and relocate for the position
