About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Carol Lake Metal Works Ltd. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date, providing accurate records of work performed.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including service attachments and working tools.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 5 years or more of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work outdoors in cold/refrigerated environments.
  • Willingness to relocate for this position.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
