Job Summary:

The Asset Recovery Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless transport operations, supporting Account Representatives with inquiries and providing exceptional service level agreements. This individual is responsible for coordinating the transport of seized assets to sales facilities, managing suppliers, and organizing transports for optimal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Coordination:
• Coordinate the transportation of seized assets to sales facilities in Canada and the USA.
• Manage suppliers to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
• Organize transports to utilize the most cost-efficient methods (flat bed, cost sharing, etc.).
• Ensure timely arrivals to avoid unnecessary storage charges.
• Update systems with arrival dates and notify Account Representatives.

Client Relationships:
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients, exceeding expectations.
• Obtain authorization for transport from clients and management when necessary.
• Provide training to Account Representatives on the transport process.
• Offer value-based recommendations to facilitate client requirements efficiently.

Documentation and Communication:
• Process required documentation according to jurisdictional requirements.
• Notify Account Representatives of updates in a professional, timely manner.
• Approve invoices after reviewing for accuracy and obtaining management approval when required.
• Handle client and customer inquiries accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Management, suppliers, and clients to resolve issues effectively.

Management of Transport Operations:
• Provide file-specific support, guidance, and feedback to Account Representatives.
• Identify, track, and report trends (repeat issues, aging tasks, etc.) and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Recovery Operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent decision-making ability.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle complex issues and anomalies.
• High School/GED or College Diploma is an asset.
• Annual salary: $60,000-$80,000, plus benefits.
