Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Executive Director/Executive Medical Director. This is a unique opportunity to join the Fraser Health team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director/Executive Medical Director, including drafting correspondence, generating reports, and coordinating meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between the Executive Director/Executive Medical Director, hospitals, communities, leadership, and outside agencies.
  • Manage shifting appointment calendars, coordinate workflow, and develop new work methods and procedures.
  • Research, organize, and summarize support materials, and independently generate complex reports and presentations.
  • Respond to sensitive internal and external inquiries, and provide information directly or refer to appropriate areas or individuals.
  • Assist in the review and monitoring of expenditures for multiple budget reports, and investigate variances.
  • Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms, prepare meeting agendas, and record meeting minutes.
  • Perform record management duties, including setting up and maintaining filing systems and databases.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus graduation from a recognized administrative or secretarial program.
  • Five years' recent related experience in a large complex business or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to type 55 w.p.m., operate a computer, and work independently with multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level.
