Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director/Executive Medical Director at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative and secretarial support, including drafting correspondence, generating reports, and coordinating meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director/Executive Medical Director, including drafting routine and non-routine correspondence, generating complex and detailed reports, and responding to sensitive internal and external inquiries.
  • Manage shifting appointment calendars, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, speaking engagements, and conferences.
  • Coordinate the workflow within the assigned area, receiving, reviewing, prioritizing, and processing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Develop and implement new work methods and procedures, identifying problems, developing alternate solutions, and implementing changes.
  • Assist in the review and monitoring of expenditures for multiple budget reports, reviewing financial status, investigating variances, and providing status to the Executive Director or Executive Medical Director.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus graduation from a recognized administrative or secretarial program.
  • Five years' recent related experience in a large complex business or health care environment.
  • Ability to type 55 w.p.m., operate a computer using a variety of desktop technology, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities, and deal effectively with others.
