About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Axis Family Resources Ltd.

As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs in our Specialized Supportive Housing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to Persons Served, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with Persons Served, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
  • Assist with daily life skills development, educational, social, and recreational goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social services or a combination of education and experience.
  • Related experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions.
