About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Specialist to join our team at Axis Family Resources Ltd. As a Caregiver Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living in our Specialized Supportive Housing under the care of MCFD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed care and support to individuals with complex needs
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with individuals through a trauma-informed practice
  • Promote a positive and healthy environment that supports individuals towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals
  • Develop and implement daily life skills development plans
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
  • Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline
  • 2-4 years of experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license
  • Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) – training and certification provided
