About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Niagara Children's Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the participation and quality of life of children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify the strengths and needs of children and youth to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment plans in a direct, indirect, or consultative manner, as indicated, to promote participation and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partnering agencies to provide outreach services in the home, community, or school.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that promote the well-being and participation of children and youth.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Strong interest or experience in School Based Rehabilitation, Autism Spectrum Disorders for Preschoolers, Active rehab for 0-18yrs with various neurological, developmental and/or physical challenges, and Sound understanding of OT amongst children and youth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
