Transportation Equipment & Cargo Claims Adjuster

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Equipment & Cargo Claims Adjuster to join our team at Xpera. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex claims related to transportation equipment and cargo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle claims related to physical damage to power units, trailers, equipment, and cargo
  • Investigate theft and fraud cases
  • Manage environmental impairment claims related to fuel spills and transport-related spills of other pollutants
  • Oversee subrogation cases
  • Conduct liability and bodily injury investigations
  • Manage accident benefits claims
  • Handle transport-related property claims (warehouses, terminals, maintenance facilities)
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in handling TEC claims
  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance
  • Adjuster's license or currently pursuing CIP designation
  • Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics
  • Good investigative manner
  • Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature
  • Advanced communication skills, including effective written and oral skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution
