About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Mechanic Assistant to join our team at PRO SERVICE MECHANICAL LTD. As an Air Conditioning Mechanic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
  • Start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, and calibrating systems.
Work Environment

As an Air Conditioning Mechanic Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will be required to work outdoors, at heights, and in noisy, dusty, and cold/refrigerated conditions.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the trade is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
