Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Unit Secretary to provide administrative support to our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a progressive and efficient clinic environment, enhancing the patient and staff experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient schedules and coordinate care with supporting departments and physician offices.
  • Respond to patient telephone inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to provide world-class healthcare.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Prior experience in an administrative/clerical role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
  • Keyboarding skills (40 wpm).
  • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPIC, EPF, ESP experience.
  • Previous experience within the Unit Secretary classification.
