About the Role

We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Advisor to join our growing team at belairdirect. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of risk and compliance across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control Validation: Develop and execute a control validation framework, methodology, and activities, including working with stakeholders to problem solve through root cause analysis and provide input on setting up appropriate processes & controls within key projects.
  • Risk Remediation: Develop remediation action plans to address issues identified through ongoing control validation and audits, and monitor progress to closure.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze and present results and recommendations on processes and controls, identified through control validation, to key stakeholders at different governance Forums and Committees.
  • Relationship Building: Build key relationships – You will partner with all business functions and leverage Risk, Audit, and peers around the world to adhere to policy and regulatory requirements and external auditor.
Requirements:
  • A college or university degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of audit and/or risk management (is an asset).
  • 3+ years within P+C insurance with knowledge of risk and control is an asset.
  • Related insurance designations CIP, FCIP, CRM.
  • Proactive and decisive thinking and excellent ability to problem solve and identify solutions through superior negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience consulting on risk, process & control assessments.
  • Working knowledge of French would be an asset.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
What We Offer:

We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive salary and benefits. The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $97,600.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
