Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Western Region subsidiary in Western Canada. This is a full-time, permanent position available at various locations, including Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop designs, mechanical drawings, and specifications for projects;
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary design team to deliver projects;
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical personnel;
- Support project management requirements and ensure timely project delivery;
- Conduct document and field reviews for assigned projects;
- Support positive client interactions and business development activities, including proposal preparation;
- Prepare and conduct presentations to clients.
Requirements
- Engineering registration in BC and/or AB;
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Intermediate to senior-level experience in building and industrial HVAC, plumbing, and drainage, refrigeration, steam, hot water, and fire protection system design;
- Experience in process engineering (light industrial, food and beverage, or pharmaceutical facilities) is an asset;
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations;
- Ability to travel to client sites in Canada and the USA;
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and food safety is an asset;
