Sulzer Pumps (Canada) Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering Department in Canada.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and manufacturing of centrifugal pumps, components, and equipment. You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Siemens NX & Medusa) for the production of pump products.
  • Maintain accurate engineering drawing control through our product lifecycle management system (Teamcenter).
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials within our ERP system (SAP).
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth design workflows and address any requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret design specifications, layouts, and verbal instructions from senior engineers.
  • Conduct stress analysis on designs to ensure structural integrity.
  • Potentially supervise and review the work of junior engineers or technicians.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
  • Contribute to special engineering projects assigned by your supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Design Technology with relevant coursework in mechanical design, hydraulics, and computer-aided drafting (2D/3D).
  • 1-2 years of experience in designing and manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and Teamcenter software is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
