Cafeteria Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cafeteria Supervisor to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Service Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to a high standard.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and implement processes to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs, including housing, transportation, and language training.
- Support for Youth: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, and offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 36 hours per week.
