Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Investor Relations. This role will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives for existing and prospective investors in our private equity group's private funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inquiries from existing and prospective private fund investors, providing timely and accurate responses to financial information, portfolio company updates, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Coordinate and prepare key deliverables for senior management, including investor communications, quarterly fund webcasts, and investment updates.
  • Effectively articulate Brookfield's private equity strategy to stakeholders, including describing new transaction activity and ongoing portfolio updates.
  • Actively engage in the formulation of key messaging to the market and communicate this messaging both verbally and in written format.
  • Plan recurring and ad-hoc investor meetings, including Brookfield's annual private funds investor conference, and all related materials.
  • Participate and coordinate in fundraising activities for the private equity group.
  • Take the lead on written responses to topical items relevant to the business and communicate the firm's views internally and externally.
  • Execute on strategic initiatives within the group.
  • Actively coordinate co-investment processes.
  • Work with peers in other Brookfield platforms to identify best practices and ensure quality and consistency of IR materials.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • CPA and/or CFA designation preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, accounting, equity research, corporate development, investor relations, transaction services, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • A solid understanding of financial reporting and valuation models; knowledge of private equity investment structures is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce and FISDX (Sungard) is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines.
  • Analytic and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive; ability to work in an unstructured environment.
