Job Description

The Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical control and instrumentation systems, including electronics, programmable controllers, telecommunications, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment
  • Install and configure new electrical and electronic instrumentation systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure seamless operation of electrical and electronic instrumentation systems
  • Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and electronic instrumentation maintenance and repair
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with electrical and electronic instrumentation equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications and licenses necessary for the role
  • Experience with PLCs, computers, electronics, calibration, hydraulics, pneumatics, and oil and gas process equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and hazardous materials handling
Work Environment

The Electronics Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. The role requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hazardous conditions. The Electronics Technician must be able to lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds and operate machinery and power tools.
