About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Worker to join our SNAP East team at the Child Development Institute. As a Family Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need, providing guidance and resources to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assessments and treatment planning processes to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counselling services to children and families, as identified in the treatment plan.
  • Develop and implement case management plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
  • Collaborate with other CDI staff, including clinicians and experts in their field, to ensure seamless service coordination and delivery.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with eligibility to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic or clinical setting, with a focus on mental health and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, as required.
