Job Summary
Arrow Electronics Canada Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled General Manager, Components to lead our Toronto branch. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
- Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive business results.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and business plans to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of sales and sales leadership experience with a 3-year degree, or 8 years and an advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience working for an electrical component distributor, manufacturers rep for components, or component manufacturer.
- 5+ years of experience working with manufacturers reps for electronic components or IP&E products.
- Knowledge of Semiconductor and IP&E suppliers.
- Prior success leading, mentoring, and motivating a field sales team.
- Experience within electronics distribution is strongly preferred.
- Strong business acumen and budgetary management experience.
- The ability to build and leverage relationships and identify key decision makers.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills in English.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a fast-paced team environment, with excellent relationship and team building skills.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM and solid competencies in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), ideally experience with Oracle.
- Ability to travel 25% of time.
