The Role

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Selling commercial insurance policies
  • Developing and maintaining a prospect list
  • Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships
  • Staying up-to-date with market knowledge, products, and pricing issues
  • Preparing proposals and arranging account placement
  • Gathering and documenting customer information
  • Maintaining a high-quality book of business
  • Arranging payment terms and collecting payments
  • Supporting customers with claims

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Able to work individually and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • 5-7+ years of industry experience, sales, and customer service
  • Commitment to continual learning, such as CIP or CAIB designation
