Job Title: Event Marketing Specialist

Canada Inc. (Platinum Events) is seeking a highly skilled Event Marketing Specialist to join our team. As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our events and increase brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and increase brand awareness
  • Evaluate communication strategies and programs to ensure effectiveness
  • Implement communication strategies and programs to engage target audiences
  • Oversee the preparation of public written materials, including event programs and promotional materials
  • Prepare bibliographies, indexes, reading lists, guides, and other finding aids to support event planning
  • Produce educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter
  • Publicize activities, workshops, meetings, and other events for fundraising or information purposes
  • Supervise staff and train them on event marketing and planning
  • Act as spokesperson for the organization and respond to written and oral inquiries
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to inform event planning decisions
  • Design, conduct, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects to evaluate event effectiveness
  • Conduct online marketing, E-commerce, and Website promotions to reach target audiences
  • Solicit event donors and review bids and negotiate costs
  • Research and design special events programs to engage target audiences
  • Prepare, present, and manage budgets for events
  • Plan for required documentation and pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations, etc.)
  • Plan for traffic and crowd control and security measures
  • Plan for translation and interpretation services
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events
  • Implement registration systems and develop policies and procedures
  • Develop risk management plans and financial procedures
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers and arrange for shipping, receiving, and storage
  • Plan for VIP arrangements and manage event logistics
  • Coordinate media services and monitor conference and meeting activities
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Identify human resources requirements and plan and oversee Webinars
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and administer revenues and expenditures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event marketing and planning
  • Willingness to relocate and relocation costs covered by employer
