Credit Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team in Montreal. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the credit approval process for our Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) operations in the Americas.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire credit approval process for GLBA transactions in the Americas, ensuring adherence to global and local governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with business lines within GLBA to gather necessary information and documentation for credit applications.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and risk assessments, presenting findings to senior management for decision-making.
  • Coordinate Credit Committees meetings for GLBA Management, facilitating discussions and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Liaise with non-GLBA Business Lines and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination during the approval process for shared transactions.
  • Maintain a thorough audit trail of all credit decisions and activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide support and guidance to GLBA staff on credit approval processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in credit analysis within a financial institution.
  • In-depth understanding of professional credit risk management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
