About the Role

As a Credit Portfolio Manager at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will be part of a team responsible for managing a portfolio of large US corporates and subsidiaries of non-US groups in diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive credit analyses, review legal documentation, and monitor the portfolio under the supervision of a Director - Senior Credit Analyst.
  • Assess credit quality, recommend credit limits, terms, and conditions for corporate counterparties, and review financial statements, business risk, industry dynamics, and competitive environment.
  • Prepare financial projections, determine debt repayment capability, and ensure compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
  • Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings, monitor compliance with covenants, and review relevant legal documentation.
  • Liaise with CPM teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
Requirements
  • Strong financial analytical skills, ability to assess credit terms and conditions, and understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
  • Ability to work in a team, interact with teams in other locations, and possess strong writing skills for assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors, ability to investigate/research/synthesize data, and analyze counterparty risk and financial condition.
  • Proficiency in finance and accounting principles, experience preparing financial projections, and knowledge of capital markets/traded products and committed financing facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field, and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement for collaboration with colleagues and partners in the United States.
