">We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team in the Bone Marrow Transplant/Leukemia Program at Vancouver General Hospital.
">About the Role
">As a Medical Technologist with VCH, you will work collaboratively with interprofessional members of the Leukemia/BMT Program to organize unrelated stem cell and bone marrow transplants.
">Responsibilities
">Your key responsibilities will include:
">• Conducting various laboratory tests and procedures related to hematology and blood banking
">• Processing and analyzing patient samples for diagnosis and treatment purposes
">• Collaborating with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely results
">• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of test results and patient information
">Qualifications and Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will require:
">• A degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
">• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
">• Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a hematopathology laboratory
">• Strong communication and teamwork skills
