Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a critical role in providing consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide group therapy facilitation and participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development
  • Supervise students and team members as assigned
  • Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • 3-5 years of experience working within a multidisciplinary mental health team
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness
Preferred Qualifications
  • Brain Story Certification
  • Collaborative Problem Solving Training
  • Suicide Risk Assessment training
