Compensation Package

This position offers a competitive salary of $50.98 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and vacation time.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Gibraltar Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks associated with heavy equipment, meeting production and maintenance goals, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve maintenance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental sustainability, and contributing to a zero-incident workplace.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including large-scale bulldozers, P&H shovels and drills, and Komatsu haul trucks.
  • Contribute to the development of apprentices and work collaboratively with other mechanical maintenance personnel to achieve maintenance goals.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
  • Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics.
  • Experience in open pit mining maintenance, specifically with large-scale bulldozers and support equipment.
