Company Overview

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Colas Western Canada Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our heavy equipment fleet. Our team works on various types of equipment, from heavy-duty trucks and excavators to concrete plants and facilities.

Salary and Benefits:

Our competitive compensation package includes a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefit plan and a registered pension plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 1+ years experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic;
  • Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform service on various equipment ranging from heavy-duty equipment to small engines and tools;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and hydrostatic systems;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask;
  • Team player- common goal-oriented;

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely performing equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a timely manner;
  • Assisting in completing all maintenance inspections;
  • Completing work orders and proper documentation of repairs and maintenance;
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting any equipment deficiencies;
  • Supporting mobile work crews and business functions in a variety of tasks;
