About the Role

Finn's Seafood Chops Cocktails is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and develop new menus, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train our kitchen staff, including specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Recipe Development: Create new recipes and menus that showcase our culinary expertise and appeal to our customers.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that customers with food allergies or intolerances receive suitable alternatives.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
