About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Tapa Bar / Bodega Bar Poco. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Operational Analysis: Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Culinary Innovation: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest culinary trends.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus that meet our high standards of quality, ensuring that dishes are consistently delicious and visually appealing.
  • Staff Training: Train our staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
