Program Manager

Connective Support Society is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to lead our dynamic non-profit organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying leadership and innovation to sustain and enhance our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development
- Develop and implement effective, culturally sensitive, and inclusive support programs.
- Support the overall program strategic direction.
- Liaise with other Connective staff, especially regarding potential referrals.
- Staff Management
- Supervise a diverse range of roles and workers in the team.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff and/or contractors as necessary to fulfill program goals.
- Community Engagement
- Maintain effective working relationships with related community services, government, and stakeholders.
- Be knowledgeable of related agencies for effective client referrals and support.
- Facilities Management
- Ensure that physical facilities fulfill all fire, health, and safety regulations.
- Ensure that resources are maintained as a clean, pleasant, and safe environment.
- On-Call Responsibilities
- Be available to all resource staff in case of emergencies.
- Other Duties
- Coordinate and administer other teams and programs.
- Perform all human resource functions, including recruitment, training, and development.
- A bachelor's degree and/or professional designation, within a minimum of 5 years of applicable or relevant transferable past work experience.
- Extensive experience and expertise in working with vulnerable populations with complex health and/or substance use conditions who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Extensive experience in management of the day-to-day aspects of community-based programs, including case planning, behavior modification techniques, psychosocial rehabilitative techniques, harm reduction, and low-barrier housing approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge and experience in the areas of group process, individual counseling, and crisis management.
- Ability to motivate and organize a staff team.
- Administrative experience and strong administrative skills.
- Knowledge of non-profit work environments, especially in Housing, the Criminal Justice Services, and Community Living Services.
