Job Summary

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective management of community housing units across the territory.

As the Housing Programs Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations related to community housing, including lease management, rent collection, and tenant communication.

You will also provide support services to tenants to help them maintain their tenancies successfully.

This may involve supporting changes in a tenant's financial situation or addressing issues that could jeopardize the stability of tenancies.

The successful candidate will create a safe, supportive, and well-managed environment and community for all tenants.

About the Opportunity

This is a permanent, full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

You will report to the Director, Housing Operations and provide support to the Housing Operations branch.

The ideal candidate has exceptional interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in leading, managing, coaching, and fostering a cohesive and dynamic team
  • Experience in analyzing, interpreting, organizing, and presenting data and information for a variety of audiences
  • Experience managing financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and implementing financial controls
  • Experience at the community level in building relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Experience working with diverse client groups, preferably with vulnerable populations, including work experience in mediation and conflict resolution
