About the Role

We are seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals with complex health and social needs in our Transitional Beds Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in a community setting
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with medication management and administration
  • Participate in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support
Requirements
  • PSW certificate, in good standing from an approved and recognized institution
  • Experience working with individuals with complex health and social needs
  • Ability to work within a Harm Reduction framework
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgement, problem solving and assessment skills
  • Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
