Job Title: Drywall Installer and Finisher

Fita Renovation is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and durable finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
Requirements:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
Working Conditions:
  • At heights, outdoors, and in various locations.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, mask, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed safety boots.
Personal Qualities:
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
