Outside Sales Representative
At Convoy Supply, we're seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship-building.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
- Sell construction materials by establishing strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional service.
- Provide timely project quotations, maintain accurate project files, and follow up on quotations.
- Conduct regular job site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with suppliers to stay informed about products and services.
- Contribute to team efforts by achieving sales targets and maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction industry, with a focus on business development, prospecting, and relationship-building.
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications, drawings, and technical data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers and schedule appointments.
- Able to solve practical problems and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to travel and have a valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Customer Relationship Management databases and Microsoft Office.
