About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop innovative automation solutions and modules from concept to completion.
  2. Design and conduct research programs, applying mechanical principles and theories.
  3. Create product statements of requirements based on customer, management, and regulatory inputs.
  4. Complete automation feasibility reviews, including robotic simulations.
  5. Program and test robot path-planning, including optimization studies.
Requirements

Master of Mechanical Engineering; knowledge of Python or C++; competent working knowledge of industrial robot safety standards and the PHSR process.

Work Experience

Minimum of five years of industrial experience primarily in automation and robotics; project management experience preferred in innovation and R&D.

Skills and Competencies
  1. Proficient in 3D CAD solid modelling (CATIA, UG, or SOLIDWORKS).
  2. Ability to run robotic simulation models using Robot Studio and RoboDK.
  3. Professional technical report writing.
  4. Strong English language skills, both spoken and written; other languages, especially German, desirable.
