About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation & Packaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our robotic and automation systems, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all packaging machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain robotic systems and automation equipment
- Provide training to team members on equipment use and maintenance
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Participate in programming tasks to optimize system performance
- Manage two full production lines, including five robots and automated components
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies to the Maintenance Technician
- Contribute to the company's Continuous Improvement program
- Work in accordance with the Treasure Mills Health and Safety program
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to prioritize jobs and minimize production downtime
- Adhere to quality control policies and procedures
- Perform packaging machine changeovers as required
- Troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 2 years of industrial food equipment experience (e.g. flow wrappers, or relevant experience in a repetitive/fast-paced environment)
- Knowledge of robots, conveyors, high-speed packaging equipment, and electrical/electronic controls
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of SAP and SQR is an asset
- Knowledge of HACCP is preferred
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires flexibility with shift time and weekend work. Shifts are four-five days per week, 8-10-12 hours in length.
