Strategic Human Resources Leader for Aerospace Company

At Great Connections Employment Services, we have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to join our client's team as a Strategic Human Resources Leader. The company, a leading player in the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced leader to oversee its HR function and drive strategic initiatives.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven individual with 10-15 years of experience in HR, particularly in unionized environments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Labour/Employee Relations, Workforce Management, and Performance Management. They will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and driving business outcomes through effective people management practices.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement talent management programs, succession planning, and diversity initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and collective agreements related to employment standards, health and safety, and workers' compensation.
- Analyze workforce data and trends to inform HR decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or a related field (an asset).
- 10-15 years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized environment, with 5-10 years of management experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
