About the Opportunity

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. This includes identifying and resolving drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in interprofessional medical rounds, providing patient education, and making therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient) as well as contributing to the attainment of our goals and objectives. Travel may be required for this position.

About You
  • Graduation from an accredited university program in Pharmacy is required.
  • A Pharmacy Residency Program is preferred.
  • Licensure to practice Pharmacy in Nova Scotia is necessary.
  • Basic Life Support Certification is also required.
  • You must have strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to make accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective use of drugs is essential.
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours
  • This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours biweekly.
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation and Incentives

The estimated annual salary for this position is $112,700 - $140,900 based on 40 hours per week at $43.68 - $53.24 per hour.
