About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Winmar Estevan. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely operate pile driving cranes, tower cranes, and other heavy equipment to drive pilings, assemble structures, and perform other construction tasks.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure proper installation and finishing.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in drilling and blasting rock, leveling earth, and paving asphalt to prepare sites for construction.
  • General Labor: Perform routine maintenance work, clean up chemical spills, and remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Team Support: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and direct traffic at or near construction sites as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
