Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estate and Trust Administrator to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As an integral part of our wealth management team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional client service and administrative support.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for administering estates and trust accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and maintaining high standards of quality control and operational efficiency. You will also provide excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, to internal and external clients, as well as investigate inquiries and errors, referring complex issues to senior officers when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Officers in all administrative functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain up-to-date, complete, and accurate account information on internal systems
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts, including clients
  • Investigate inquiries and errors, referring complex issues to senior officers
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum one year of experience in the financial services industry
  • Post-secondary education
  • Successful completion of STEP Canada's Foundations of Estate and Trust Administration course (CETA1), or obligation to complete upon employment
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with sensitive situations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Location:

This is a full-time contract position located in the Ottawa office. The successful candidate must be willing to work 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week.
