About the Role:

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Construction Site Manager to lead our client's high-rise project in the Hamilton/Burlington area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all building trades and materials to ensure project progress adheres to the construction schedule.
  • Review and ensure compliance with contract documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Implement and manage health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.
  • Prepare and issue requests for information (RFIs) to address design coordination and unforeseen site conditions.
  • Coordinate and supervise the preparation of required mock-ups for review and approval.
  • Manage and coordinate with sub-trades and consultants to ensure site instructions are issued and implemented.
  • Schedule and conduct consultant inspections and testing as required by specifications.
  • Schedule and conduct municipal inspections related to project occupancy.
  • Document and direct the correction of defects and deficiencies in the work.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, manpower, and resources.
  • Maintain records of rental equipment, concrete, and rebar supply.
  • Keep accurate records of variations to trade contracts and site conditions.
  • Maintain a harmonious work environment with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supervising large construction projects, with significant experience in high-rise construction and the Ontario Building Code.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management disciplines, including safety compliance, scheduling, cost control, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with various project stakeholders.
  • Ability to evaluate performance, coach crew members, and develop a highly functional team.

Location: Burlington & Hamilton

Compensation: $145K depending on candidate experience
