We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aboriginal Centre Manager to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and activities of our correctional facilities and detention centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control and evaluate the delivery of social and community service programs
  • Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs
  • Hire and provide training for professional and non-professional staff
  • Administer programs of non-governmental organizations involved with social issues
  • Direct and advise professional and non-professional staff
  • Establish administrative procedures
  • Participate in policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups
  • Plan, administer, and control budgets for projects, programs, support services, and equipment
  • Represent our organization for government liaison and media relations
  • Resolve conflict situations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • More than 20 years of experience in a management role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Criminal record check, enhanced reliability security clearance, and vulnerable sector check
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a large workload
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
