The Distribution Centre Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that IPEX responds to customer needs. This role is based in our Edmonton, Alberta office and reports to the Regional Distribution Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Distribution Centre, ensuring that all Health, Safety, and C-TPAT policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Distribution Operations to meet service and quality standards.
- Develop and manage the Distribution Centre team to deliver prompt and accurate customer service.
- Implement Health & Safety and Human Resources strategies to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through RF technology and cycle counts.
- Assist in developing the operating budget and manage it once approved.
- Apply Continuous Improvement principles to enhance operations and customer service.
- Ensure the Distribution Centre adheres to internal practices, including TMS and C-TPAT.
- Provide proper training to employees according to internal standards and provincial/state laws.
- Coordinate repairs and purchases for the Distribution Centre.
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience in Distribution, Logistics, and/or Customer Service.
- Positive leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in an RF environment.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- SAP experience is an asset.
